The Texas high school football season comes down to
the final weekend in Houston. For each
division, one game, winner takes all.
There will be four games on Thursday (two for 2A and two for 3A), three
on Friday (two 4A games and one 5A game), and the final three games on Saturday
(the second 5A game and the two 6A games). An orgy of high school football.
I will not be there on Thursday, but will be there on Friday and Saturday to see these games.

- · 6A Division 1 Westlake vs North Shore
- · 6A Division 2 Lake Travis vs Katy
- · 5A Division 1 Lake Ridge vs George Ranch
- · 5A Division 2 Cedar Park vs Lone Star
- · 4A Division 1 Argyle vs La Vega
- · 4A Division 2 Celina vs West Orange Stark
Three schools from the Austin area will be playing in Houston. The Vista Ridge Rangers made their deepest play-off run
in school history, but were eliminated by George Ranch and will not be making
the trip. The games will be televised on Fox Sports Southwest for those people who can't travel. Tune in and watch some really great football.
I will post pictures and game summaries. And of course I'll be looking for good barbeque while I am in Houston. It's going to be great!
