This was supposed to be the week to see Cedar Park
(ranked number 1 in Texas in class 5A) host Vandegrift (ranked #4), but. .
.
My Dad is 89 years old and lives with
my sister and her husband. They were going out of town this weekend to visit the grand kids. My Dad fell in the bathroom earlier in the
week and bumped his head. My sister
feared something bad might happen to him if he was left alone for the weekend,
so I volunteered to baby sit him. We had
a good time together (watched lots of football on TV, especially enjoyed seeing Bama knock off the Aggies), but I didn’t get to eat
barbeque or see the high school game I had hoped to see. Sometimes life gets in the way of the plans
we’ve made. Oh well. . .
Reading about the game in the newspaper, it sounded like a good one. Cedar Park won 58-45 to remain unbeaten. With luck, I’ll catch them in the play-offs. . .
